What is
ALIVE Inc. Milwaukee is a unique organization fostering a variety of achievement skills for youngsters in business, arts, professional development and educational attainment. It grows out of the proven experience of its supporters to dramatically improve the lives of youth in Greater Milwaukee. ALIVE has functioned since 2012 in Milwaukee but the organizational design and structure have been effective for well over a decade in both local and national initiatives.
We believe it is crucial to provide everyone (and especially youth) with a variety of experiences to sharpen their abilities. We challenge youth to consider: Identity & Purpose - Who they are and what were they designed to do. Civic & Community Engagement - How can they make a difference in the community around them. Personal & Professional Development What skills and abilities do they currently have that they can expand and use to their advantage.
To help them explore these and other questions, ALIVE offers exciting and inspiring interactions for youth seeking clarity around career and future planning. ALIVE provides a forum to blend thoughtful, mature, and open-minded students who are willing to be stretched beyond their individual comfort zones. Guided by experienced professionals and mentors and stimulated by new friends of different backgrounds, participants learn to be more appreciative of their own journeys, as they come to an awareness that confidence around a vocational path yields authentic and successful human beings.

Through ALIVE’s programs, community partners play an active role in assisting students with the transition from school to work, converting uncertainty into clear direction for their future. Partners provide valuable work and life skills training for the students and are seen as leaders in the communities they serve.
